Q: What initially attracted you to the Fraser Stryker Summer Associate program? How did your expectations align with your summer experience?
A: I was initially attracted to Fraser Stryker because of the “choose your own adventure” experience as a summer associate here. I wanted the opportunity to be able to explore all the practice groups while working on projects that I had already developed a strong interest in.
Q: How did you feel like the mentorship provided by Fraser Stryker’s attorneys helped you during this summer?
A: The mentorship provided by Fraser Stryker’s attorneys helped me this summer by allowing me to learn practical knowledge that I would not have had the opportunity to learn in law school. It was a great experience to be able to meet with attorneys and review or discuss projects to learn how to either approach a research question or draft a document in a different way than I was taught in law school. This mentorship allowed me to grow as a legal professional through the valuable insight from attorneys at Fraser Stryker.
Q: Describe a piece of advice given by an attorney this summer that really stuck with you.
A: A piece of advice an attorney gave to me this past summer was that law school does not teach you everything you need to know practice law. This advice was beneficial because it showed me the value in gaining practical experience and working with attorneys at Fraser Stryker who are able to share previous experiences and insights on how to practice law in a professional and respectful manner.
